Growing Community Through Giving

He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."
β€” Matthew 17:20 ESV

Our Mission Statement

Mustard Seeds Thrift exists to serve our community with dignity, compassion, and Christ's love by providing affordable essential goods to individuals and families in need.

Rooted in Jesus's parable of the mustard seed, we believe small acts of generosity grow into abundant blessings.

We are called to:

We measure success not in profits, but in lives touched, needs met, and hope restored. From small seeds of kindness, we trust God will grow something beautiful.

❀️ Community First

We're more than a thrift storeβ€”we're neighbors helping neighbors. Our focus is on building up our community and meeting people where they are with dignity and respect.

✨ Quality & Value

We carefully select quality items and price them fairly, making sure families can stretch their budgets while still getting the things they need.

πŸ™ Faith in Action

Rooted in Christian values, we put our faith into action by serving others, sharing God's love, and supporting ministries that transform lives.

πŸ•οΈ Wesleyan Woods Teen Camp

Vassar, Michigan β€’ Established 1973

Wesleyan Woods Teen Camp is part of Wesleyan Woods Camp, a Christian camping ministry owned by the Great Lakes/East Michigan District of the Wesleyan Church and located near Vassar, Michigan. Established in 1973, the camp was created to share the love of Jesus Christ through outdoor experiences, discipleship, and community fellowship.

Each summer the teen camp welcomes students in grades 7–12 for a week of chapel services, worship, small-group discussions, mentoring, and recreational activities such as swimming, canoeing, and team competitions. Operating as a nonprofit and alcohol- and drug-free environment, Wesleyan Woods seeks to help young people grow spiritually, build healthy friendships, and develop a personal faith while experiencing Christian community in a safe camp setting.

πŸ’ͺ Adult & Teen Challenge

Founded 1958 β€’ Serving Michigan Communities

Adult & Teen Challenge is a Christian, faith-based recovery ministry founded in 1958 by Pastor David Wilkerson to help people overcome addiction and other life-controlling problems through a relationship with Jesus Christ, discipleship, and structured community living.

The ministry spread across the United States in the late 1960s and established programs throughout Michigan, where residential centers began reaching individuals struggling with drugs, alcohol, crime, and broken life situations. Through Bible study, mentoring, work training, and accountability, Michigan Teen Challenge has helped thousands of men and women find freedom from addiction and rebuild their lives as healthy, productive members of their families, churches, and communities.
